Dr. Jonathan Mears

Dr. Jonathan Mears has been practicing dentistry for 14 years now, having spent the last nine of them here at JL Dental. He is truly committed to enhancing the lives of his patients through dedicated care that always exceeds expectations. He attended Murray State University where he double majored in biology and chemistry. Then, he pursued his doctorate at the Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine. He has since undergone advanced training in a wide variety of dental fields, including cosmetic dentistry, dental implants, orthodontics, and endodontics (root canals).

Dr. Mears is originally from Carmi, IL, and he and his wife, Dr. Laura, have two children named Ethan and Claire and a dog named Max! When he isn’t busy at the practice, his interests include spending quality time with family, hiking, being outdoors, boating at Kentucky Lake, playing basketball, hockey, attending Blues games, and scuba diving.
